Consultant and trainee radiologists will no longer have to travel to RCSI in Dublin to attend lectures and tutorials thanks to the establishment of a new video conferencing teaching facility by the Faculty of Radiologists at RCSI.

This new facility was officially launched at RCSI on Friday, 26 May.

The Mercy Hospital, Cork; Temple Street Children's Hospital, Dublin; University College Hospital, Galway and Waterford Regional Hospital are just some of the many hospitals nationwide that will be equipped with this technology.

Commenting on this new development, Dr Eamann Breatnach, Dean of the Faculty of Radiologists, RCSI said: "This will allow nationwide and cross border interactive teaching with high definition monitor equipment with two way receptivity to allow interactive tutorial style teaching as well as facilitating didactic lecturing."
