The Right Honourable Dato’ Mustapa Mohomad, Malaysian Minister of Higher Education, paid an official visit to RCSI today where they were informed of key developments.

The Minister was accompanied by His Excellency Dato' Siddiq Firdause Haji Mohd Ali, the Ambassador of Malaysia to Ireland; Dato' Dr Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hassan Shahabudin, Vice-Chancellor Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (National University of Malaysia); Dr Mohd. Padzil Hashim Under-Secretary, Planning and Research Division, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia; Dr Mohd. Fauzi Haji Ramlan, Director, Student Welfare Management Division, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia; Dato' Dr Salleh Hassan, Director, Education Planning and Research Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia; and other Malaysian and Irish officials.

The delegation met with Mr Michael Horgan, CEO of RCSI and other senior College officials.The visitors were informed of key developments at RCSI. Possible future collaborations in education and research were also discussed.

The visit will serve to further strengthen existing strong links between RCSI and Malaysia.
