RCSI holds Faculty of Radiologists' Annual Scientific Meeting
The Faculty of Radiologists at RCSI bestowed its highest honour of Honorary Fellow on three leading experts in the field of radiology during its three-day Annual Scientific Meeting, which was held in the College from 27-29 September.
Professor Andy Adam, President of the Royal College of Radiologists and President of the European Society; Professor Ann Barrett, Professor of Oncology and Deputy Head of School at the University of East Anglia and Professor Nestor Müller, Professor of Radiology in the University of British Columbia in Vacouver, Canada were honoured at a special ceremony that took place on the evening of 28 September.
The three-day meeting discussed topics relating to the field of radiology including cardiac CT/MRI; caratoid and cerebrovascular disease; venous disease; innovations in radiotherapy and radiation biology research.
There were also a number of poster presentations at the event. The RCSI Faculty of Radiologists is the professional and academic body of clinical radiologists and radiation oncologists in Ireland.
It offers specialist training and postgraduate examinations. The Faculty's objectives are to advance the science, art and practice of radiology, radiation oncology and its allied sciences and to promote education, study and research in the area.
