Symposium at RCSI raises awareness of stroke
The Dublin Stroke Symposium took place at RCSI today.
The idea behind this symposium was to provide an insight into the recent advances in stroke research and treatment.
Speakers at the event included Dr Manus Ward, Lecturer at the Department of Physiology and Medical Physics at RCSI; Dr Michael Marnane, Dr Orla Sheehan and Dr Niamh Hannon from the Mater University Hospital who stood in for Professor Peter Kelly Consultant Neurologist and Director, Stroke Service, Mater University Hospital and Associate Professor of Neurology at University College Dublin; Dr Joan Moroney, Consultant Neurologist, Neurology Department, Beaumont Hospital; and Dr Jacinta Morgan, Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine, National Rehabilitation Hospital, Dun Laoghaire.
