Senior officials from the University of Massachusetts (UMASS) visited the RCSI today. More ...

They included Dr Michael Collins, Senior Vice President for Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts and Chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Medical School; Dr Terence Flotte Dean of the School of Medicine; Dr John Sullivan, Vice Chancellor for Research; Dr Michelle Pugnaire, MD, Senior Associate Dean of the School of Medicine and Dr Walter Ettinger, MD, President UMass Memorial Medical Center.

They met with senior officials from RCSI including Mr Michael Horgan, CEO of RCSI; Dr Terry McWade, Deputy CEO; Professor Cathal Kelly, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences; Professor Arthur Tanner, Director of Surgical Affairs and Professor Brian Harvey, Director of Research at RCSI.

They discussed ways of strengthening links between the two institutions in terms of medical student education, graduate medical education and resident linkages, research exchanges and hospital interactions.
