Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland meeting at RCSI
The Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland held their spring meeting at RCSI today.
It is the first time that the meeting, which is being organised by the Irish Association of Vascular Surgeons at RCSI, has been held in Ireland.
The topic of this years symposium was an ‘Update on Carotid Intervention’ and was aimed at providing clinicians with a comprehensive update on the current issues facing the treatment of carotid artery disease. A number of well-known experts from the United Kingdom and Ireland attended the event.
RCSI additionally ran a one-day workshop at the National Training Centre on carotid artery stenting, which is a new and emerging treatment option.
