Mary Harney launches art exhibition at RCSI

An art exhibition to mark International Week at RCSI was officially launched by the Minister for Health and Children, Mary Harney, today. The exhibition will run on the concourse from 7-10 April.

The exhibition is being coordinated by Dr Abdul Bulbulia a graduate of RCSI. It includes paintings from Nigeria, South Africa and Mozambique as well as art from Pakistan and India, calligraphy from the Koran and a painting by Robert Bayles. The collection of 29 works are from the private collections of Mr Patrick J. Murphy and Dr Abdul Bulbulia, a graduate of RCSI.

RCSI’s International Week is an annual celebration of cultural diversity that aims to raise awareness of the various different cultures represented by the RCSI student body and promote the expression of that diversity through a wide range of activities and events, including the Halal Food Fest, International Night and the International Food Festival.
