RCSI soccer team triumph in Hospitals Cup

The Hospitals Cup is an annual soccer tournament open to teams from Dublin’s hospitals with players comprising of both doctors and medical students. The tournament runs annually between March and May. 

The first match took place back in 1906 and its current format has existed since 1948.

Commenting on the victory, Corriena Brien, Student Services Manager, said: "We are extremely proud of our soccer team, and this year they have really come into their own. They have gone from strength to strength thanks to the commitment and dedication of Jim Sherlock and Jay Sherlock."

She also thanked the team supporters who gave up their Friday evening to cheer the team to victory including the ladies soccer team, Dr Michael O’Gorman (RCSI Graduate, 2006) and Dr Terry McWade (Deputy Chief Executive Officer).
