Joint Anglo-American ENT meeting takes place at RCSI

The joint Anglo-American ENT meeting took place at RCSI from 6-8 July.

The event was held in association with the Irish Society of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.

This year’s event included a full scientific and social programme. Among those who attended the three-day meeting were Professor Gerald Healy, President of the American College of Surgeons (ACS); Professor Richard Ramsden, President of the British Association of Otorhinolaryngologists - Head and Neck Surgeons (BAO-HNS) and Dr James Denneny, President of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (AAOHNS).

A state reception hosted by Mary Harney, Minister for Health and Children, was also held at Dublin Castle on Monday, 7 July.

The joint meetings take place every four years and are hosted alternately by the American Academy of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Foundation, the ORL Sections of the Royal Society of Medicine and the British Association of Otorhinolaryngologists - Head and Neck Surgeons.
