Dr Michael Murphy, President of University College Cork, officially launched the book Irish Surgeons and Surgery in the 20th Century by Professor Barry O’Donnell at the University College Cork on Monday, 6 October 2008.

Professor Barry O’Donnell was born in Cork and graduated from University College Cork (UCC).

He is a past President of RCSI and has to date launched his book throughout Ireland (Dublin, Cork) and in the United States (San Francisco).

He will also be launching the book in Belfast on 4 November 2008.
