For the second year in a row, Celia Holman Lee’s models took to the floor to showcase a superb collection of fashion pieces from Joanne’s Boutique in aid of breast cancer research at RCSI.

We are delighted to report that more than €16,000 was raised at this very successful event!

Over 250 glamorous guests were invited to a champagne reception amidst the splendour of a pink and white-themed room. Professor Arnold Hill, Professor of Surgery at RCSI delivered an informative and emotive talk on the future of breast cancer care and on the goal of Breast Cancer Ireland to provide personalised patient treatment plans for every patient diagnosed, thereby ensuring that they receive the very best tailored treatment available to combat their own particular form of breast cancer.

"New drugs are being developed that can be targeted to specific parts of a patients cancer tissue," Professor Hill advised. "To determine which drugs may be effective for a patients cancer requires sophisticated analysis which we hope to make available to all patients."

Professor Hill also thanked Joanne Skelly and Maura Braan and their dedicated committee for their help in raising this much needed funding.
