RCSI North American Chapter of Fellows meets in San Francisco

RCSI North American Chapter of Fellows

The North American Chapter of Fellows met in San Francisco in conjunction with the 94th American College of Surgeons Annual Clinical Congress (ACS) on Monday, 13 October.

The purpose of the Chapter Meeting is to promote and foster relationships between the College and its Fellows and Members in North America. These meetings provide social and professional networking opportunities as well as an opportunity to strengthen ties with the RCSI.

Over 100 RCSI Fellows and Members live in the United States and Canada. Many of them attended this event, where they enjoyed the chance to catch up with colleagues who had travelled from Ireland and around the world.

Professor Barry O'Donnell (Past President of RCSI) launched his book Irish Surgeons and Surgery in the 20th Century at the event. The book was officially launched by Professor Frank Keane, President of RCSI.
