Catherine Muigai Mwangi, the Kenyan Ambassador to Ireland, paid an official visit to RCSI on Tuesday, 22 September 2009.

The Ambassador was accompanied by Kasiva Mbithi, Second Secretary in the Kenyan Embassy.

They met with senior officials from RCSI including Professor Frank Keane, President of RCSI; Professor Arthur Tanner, Director of Surgical Training; Professor Sean Tierney, Professor of Surgical Informatics; Mr Roger Duggan, Programme Manager of COSECSA; and Ms Fiona Walsh, Associate Director of Surgical and Postgraduate Affairs.

The visit will serve to strengthen existing links between the two institutions and countries, particularly in the area of surgical education and training.
