63 graduates conferred in Dubai

RCSI presented 63 graduates with masters degrees at its conferring ceremony in Dubai on Saturday, 16 January 2010.

The graduates represent a broad spectrum of health professionals and include doctors, nurses, health managers, pharmacists and lab technicians who come from a wide variety of public and private health sector organisations in the UAE and other countries in the Middle East. 38 graduates were conferred with an MSc in Healthcare Management whilst 25 were conferred with an MSc in Quality & Safety in Healthcare Management.

Professor Ciaran O Boyle, Head of the RCSI Institute of Leadership and Healthcare Management, said: “We in the RCSI Institute of Leadership and Healthcare Management are delighted to contribute to the formation of a new generation of healthcare leaders. Our graduates are now well placed to assist their communities and organisations to cope effectively with the emerging challenges in providing safe and effective healthcare.”

Established in 2005, RCSI Dubai provides postgraduate education and training through the RCSI Institute of Leadership and Healthcare Management (ILHM). Currently RCSI Dubai has 104 students enrolled on its two masters programmes and since 2005, 124 students have graduated. Its programmes are accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as well as the National University of Ireland.
