RCSI welcomes over 400 new undergraduate students

Orientation Day 2010 RCSI

RCSI welcomed approximately 430 new students studying for Bachelors of Medicine, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy to the College today for the annual Orientation Day.

The day began with a welcome address from Professor Hannah McGee, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

The students were also given an overview of the Biomedical Science Curriculum as well as being given an overview of all aspects of student life in RCSI from computer and library services, to the student union, clubs and societies and the buddy programme.

This evening, Professor Cathal Kelly, CEO/Registrar will give an overview of RCSI today to the students and their families, followed by a unique perspective on the College and some of its distinguished graduates, which will be presented by Professor Clive Lee, Head of the Department of Anatomy.

Mr Patrick Broe, Vice President of RCSI will host a welcome reception for the students and their families, giving students the opportunity to meet with faculty.
