RCSI to showcase medical innovations as part of Innovation Dublin 2010 festival

RCSI will host an Innovation exhibition ‘RCSI Innovations’ on Monday, 15 November 2010 from 2pm-5pm. The exhibition is open to the public and is free of charge.

Leading experts from RCSI will be on hand to demonstrate and discuss surgical and medical innovations. People will be given the opportunity to simulate surgical procedures, participate in a virtual patient diagnosis and discover more about health research.

The exhibition will be of interest to anyone who is thinking of pursing a career in medicine and to those that are interested in learning more about science, medicine and research.

The RCSI Innovations exhibition is part of the annual Innovation Dublin festival which is dedicated to promoting innovation and creativity in the city. Conceived by the Creative Dublin Alliance and coordinated by Dublin City Council, Innovation Dublin aims to provide Dubliners - whether they’re entrepreneurs, students, researchers, artists or large corporations – with an opportunity to discuss, promote and celebrate innovation in the city.

The Innovation Dublin 2010 festival will take place from 10-21 November.
