Great Pink Run raises over 30k for breast cancer research

Over 970 participants ran, jogged and walked the 5k distance in the torrential rain on Sunday, 4 September to support the inaugral Great Pink Run. Over €30,000 was raised that will go directly to support vital breast cancer research programmes in RCSI.

Bootcamp Ireland were on hand at the beginning of the race to get everyone limbered up before the start.

Our RCSI's Senior Management Team was represented very ably by Eunan Friel, Managing Director of the Department of Surgical Affairs, who finished the race in 24th place with in an impressive 00:20:45.

The winning runner was Eoin Flynn, who crossed the line in a super time of 00:15:51.
