On Thursday, 23 February the Lord Mayor of Dublin Andrew Montague hosted a reception in Dublin's Mansion House for 100 international students.

The reception was held to promote Dublin as one of the top international cities in which to study. Students from over 30 different countries and four continents were invited to attend the reception.

Commenting on the event, Corriena Brien, Student Services Manager, said: "We are delighted to see the Lord Mayor recognise international students in this way. We understand that he intends to extend this initiative in the form of awards to international students who have contributed to student life and life in Ireland. We will be nominating students from RCSI and have every confidence their efforts and achievements will be recognised."
