MCP students honoured at IT Tralee sports awards

Four students from RCSI's Medical Commencement Programme (MCP) have been recognised for their outstanding contribution to the IT Tralee Sports Programme in the past year. Mohamed Alhosani, from the United Arab Emirates, and Alhasan Alhebshi, from Saudi Arabia, were both voted ‘club person of the year' for their Tae Kwon Do and Tennis clubs respectively.

Speaking on the awards, IT Tralee Sports Officer, Jennifer Healy stated that the participation of MCP students in sports has significantly increased in the past year. Praising Mohamed and Alhasan, Ms Healy said: "The MCP students have really added to the Sports programme in such a positive way and it was wonderful to see them acknowledged for their commitment to the clubs."

Two other MCP students also received awards on the night. Hamad Almhanedi and Yousif Al Qabandi received a citation as well as a framed certificate for their involvement in the Soccer club.

The Medical Commencement Programme (MCP) is an RCSI programme that is run in IT Tralee. The Programme provides an introduction to health sciences education for international students
