Irish international athlete Catherina McKiernan and Leinster Rugby's Shane Jennings came out to support the launch of this year's Breast Cancer Ireland Great Pink Run 2012.

This year's event plans to be bigger and better than last year and offers both a 10k Challenge for the Running elite and a 5 Family Fun run, jog or walk. There will be music, amusements, and refreshments for all as Dublin's Quayside will turn pink for the day on Sunday, 16 September 2012.

All proceeds from the event help to support on-going breast research programmes at RCSI. More details: greatpinkrun.ie.
