Ms Dearbhail McDonald, Associate Editor and Legal Editor of the Irish Independent, will present a talk entitled ‘Lessons in Leadership’ this evening as part of the RCSI Institute of Leadership Lecture Series.
The lecture will be delivered to approximately 100 health professionals at RCSI, 123 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2. Ms McDonald will examine leadership in disruptive times, with an emphasis on leadership in challenging clinical situations and the role of political leadership. In her presentation, she will also explore how “authenticity of voice” is a key leadership competency.
Ms McDonald commented, "I am looking forward to presenting in RCSI on the theme of leadership. I hope to reflect on cases, and look at the role of political leadership, clinical leadership and discuss how we can learn from the past and approach the future."
Professor Ciarán O’ Boyle, Director of the RCSI Institute of Leadership said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome one of Ireland’s most experienced journalists, Dearbhail McDonald, to deliver this evening’s 'Lessons in Leadership’ lecture.
