RCSI student ambassadors, Wendy and Samy, honoured
The 2016 Education in Ireland Ambassador Programme celebrated the achievements of its student ambassadors on 21 April at Farmleigh House in Dublin's Phoenix Park.
This year's Programme has seen 55 student ambassadors from 15 institutions and 11 different countries promote Ireland as a desirable study-abroad destination. Representing RCSI (Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland) on the day was final year medicine student Wendy Evans-Uhegbu from Nigeria and third year Medicine Student Samy Beshay from Canada.
On a bright sunny day the student ambassadors, college representatives and embassy ambassadors enjoyed mid-morning refreshments in the beautiful Farmleigh conservatory and a tour of the House before the Acting-Minister for Education and Skills, Jan O'Sullivan, arrived to present the student ambassadors with their certificates of achievements.
Following the ceremony the ambassodors were brought to the Church for lunch, where the ambassadors got to mingle with their fellow students about the year passed and their experiences of taking part in the Ambassador Programme.
Many thanks and congratulations go to both RCSI student ambassadors, Wendy and Samy for their dedication, effort and enthusiasm in promoting RCSI and Ireland.
