All RCSI campuses and facilities in Dublin and in other Yellow zones to reopen on Wednesday, 8 December
All RCSI campuses and facilities in Dublin and in other Yellow zones will be open on Wednesday, 8 December.
We hope you have managed to stay safe as Storm Barra moved across Ireland.
We are aware that the storm is still very much with us and there are still parts of Ireland where Red or Orange weather warnings are in place, particularly in the west and south of the country.
Our approach, in line with advice from the Department of Education, is for institutions no longer in a Red or Orange alert area can reopen, provided that, there has been a check for any fallen wires or damage.
Your safety continues to be the priority. Please check the Met Éireann website for updates relative to your area and continue to take the necessary precautions to stay safe.
More information
- If you are due to attend a clinical placement in a Red zone you should not attend.
- If you are due to attend a placement in an Orange zone, you should contact the placement provider first to ensure they will be available.
- All other students should attend as planned before the storm disruption.
