RCSI has announced the 2023 spring/summer events programme for Fellows, Members and Affiliate Members. The programme includes a mix of roadshows, webinars and conferring ceremonies.

Over the past number of months, Professor Laura Viani, RCSI President travelled to Waterford to listen and learn about the local concerns in the south-east of the country and hosted the 2023 Charter Day Meeting.

The College also held a session on becoming a standout surgeon for young surgeons, surgical trainees and medical students with an interest in surgery.

Welcoming the new schedule of events, Professor Viani said: “I sensed a real generosity of spirit around the recent Charter Day Meeting, and a genuine determination on the part of our most senior members to share knowledge and practical advice with younger colleagues. At a difficult time for all of us working in healthcare, the meeting gave me cause for optimism.

“As a College, we are deeply committed to advocating on behalf of our Fellows and Members and these events give the surgical community the opportunity to share their views with the College.”
