Fees and funding
If you are working in a public hospital, your fees will be paid directly to RCSI by the Office of the Nursing/Midwifery Services Director (ONMSD) within the HSE. There is no need for you or your hospital to seek funding.
If you are working in a private hospital/setting you will be required to fund this yourself or if being funded by your employer, required to submit written confirmation of your funding to nursing@rcsi.com. Please be sure to include your application number.
If you are self-funding your studies you can pay in two equal instalments, one at the beginning of your study and the second at the midway point, you will receive more information on how to pay from the RCSI Fees Office.
Fee: €2,990.
Funding for Nurse and Midwife Medicinal Product Prescribing Education Programme
The Office of the Nursing and Midwifery Services Director (ONMSD), Health Service Executive (HSE), provides funding for this education programme for registered nurses and registered midwives employed in the HSE and HSE-funded agencies (Section 38) and the Irish Prison Services (IPS).
To secure funding you must complete an electronic Funding Application Form: Nurse and Midwife Medicinal Product Prescribing Education Programme.

Please note: the completed electronic funding application form must be submitted prior to the application closing date for the relevant higher education institution.
