Dear RCSI community,  

The violence and tragic loss of lives in Gaza, Israel and the surrounding region and the humanitarian crisis that is unfolding is heartbreaking to witness and has deeply saddened and shocked us all. We express here, on behalf of our Fellows and Members, our abhorrence of violence in all forms, our compassion for all affected peoples and our support for the medical communities that are attempting to care for them.

Many of you will want to show your solidarity for those affected and seek ways that you can provide support. RCSI is arranging an emergency appeal to support the International Red Cross who are providing much-needed aid on the ground.  

As a community our thoughts are with the victims, their families and dedicated medical colleagues maintaining services under such difficult circumstances.
