The RCSI School of Medicine Conferring Ceremony will take place on Monday, 2 June 2025 in The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD).

The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD)

The School of Medicine Conferring will take place in The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD), Spencer Dock, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1, D01 T1W6.

Academic dress

All graduates must pre-book robes with the official robe-makers, Phelan Conan Limited. Robes may be pre-booked online at phelanconan.com. The pre-paid hire fee is €45 or pay on the day hire fee is €50.

Due to the implementation of a personal 3D secure password during the credit card payment process online, Phelan Conan Ltd staff are no longer able to take bookings over the phone. This has been created to protect your online payments and if you don’t already have a 3D secure password you can activate it by following the simple instructions during the booking process.  If you experience any further problems with 3D secure process, please contact your bank.

Cash will not be accepted. All gowns must be returned to Phelan Conan as soon as possible after the conclusion of the ceremony.

Details on when the booking site will open to pre-book, will be confirmed in due course. 

Photography

Lafayette Photographers will be located on site throughout the School of Medicine Conferring to take professional individual and family portraits. Please visit their website, lafayette.ie to pre-book now. Pre-booking is highly recommended for your photography session.

Order of proceedings

Graduands are invited to register three hours prior to their conferring ceremony. At registration graduands will be provided with a seat number which signifies the order in which they will be called to the stage.

Graduands and guests are asked to take their seats no later than 45 minutes prior to the ceremony commences.

Guest tickets 

Each graduand will receive three guest tickets. If capacity permits, graduands will be permitted to request additional ticket(s) when registering for the conferring in April 2025. Extra tickets will be allocated to those on the waiting list, subject to availability, once all graduands have completed the registration. Please note, confirmation may not be available on extra ticket requests until the week prior to the event.   

Live stream

A live stream of the conferring ceremony will be available for friends and family to watch around the world. The stream will be available on this page and will begin at 14.00 (Irish Standard Time).

School of Medicine Conferring Dinner 

The School of Medicine Conferring Dinner will take place on Friday, 30 May 2025 at 19.00 in the The Round Room at The Mansion House, Dawson Street, Dublin 2, D02 XK40. This event is for the graduating class and RCSI faculty and staff. The dress code is black tie.
