Local fashion show raises €16,000 for breast cancer research

On Tuesday, 9 October, a fashion show was held by Frederika Barrett in the Lakeside Hotel, Killaloe in aid of breast cancer research at RCSI.

An unprecedented €16,000 was raised at what was a very successful evening.

Prof. Arnold Hill, Chair of the Department of Surgery at RCSI, delivered a very informative and emotive talk on the future of breast cancer in Ireland and on the work that is being led by RCSI in collaboration with other research institutes around the country.

The models for the show were provided by the Cecilia Holman Lee Agency clothes were by Joanne's Fashion House in Ballina, shoes by Shoerack, and the jewellery by Keanes of Limerick.

Over 220 guests from Clare, Limerick and Tipperary attended the evening.
