Aisling Brennan
Aisling Brennan completed a BSc in Physiotherapy in RSCI and graduated in 2002. Since graduating, she has worked in Tallaght University Hospital, completing all core rotations before specialising in the area of musculoskeletal.
In 2007, she completed an MSc in Neuromuscular Physiotherapy. She currently works as a Clinical Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. This role involves working as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist in Orthopaedic and Rheumatology Clinics. Her advanced practice skills include carrying out injection therapy and real-time ultrasound.
Since 2014, Aisling has worked as part of the National Musculoskeletal Steering Group, a collaborative working group between the National Clinical Programme for Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery and the National Clinical Programme for Rheumatology. This group is tasked with the development of musculoskeletal services in Ireland.
From 2017 to 2019, Aisling was the National Planning and Performance Physiotherapist with this group where she assisted in the development of musculoskeletal clinics nationally and developed a model of care for the future development of these services nationwide.
Aisling is passionate about the need to provide efficient, streamlined, equitable services to all patients with Musculoskeletal conditions and feels it is integral to consider and listen to patients needs when designing services.
