Training to become a doctor at RCSI
Our Medicine curriculum will equip you to respond to the future healthcare challenges of an increasingly global, digital and climate-focused world.
From your first day as a Medicine student, you will join one of RCSI’s six learning communities which create an inclusive and welcoming environment for students.
You will enjoy an immersive educational experience and will be taught in both state-of-the-art simulation and training facilities, as well as in our historic Anatomy Room.
You will be provided with ongoing feedback as you progress through your studies. You will also receive one-to-one support and guidance from your personal tutor.
At RCSI, we provide individualised personal and academic support to all students through our Centre for Personal, Professional and Academic Success.
As a Medicine student, you will train in Ireland’s most diverse network of clinical teaching facilities, with 37 clinical sites, over 100 GP surgeries and 195 international locations.
Electives will facilitate your growth as a healthcare practitioner, allowing you to develop an understanding of different specialties and to build your professional network.
You will be exposed to research experiences early in your professional journey, through research electives, research exchanges and the RCSI Research Summer School.

Your clinical experience

Your research opportunities
