I am delighted to welcome you to the RCSI Clinical Research Centre (RCSI CRC) – Ireland's first academic research centre.

Our vision is to be a world-class clinical research centre, facilitating our investigators to lead pivotal clinical trials, improve patient care and inspire the next generation of clinical researcher.

Over the next five years we aim to:

  1. Enable the growth of RCSI investigator-initiated studies by facilitating quality clinical research, education and mentoring.
  2. Increase our participation in national and international multicentre clinical trial activity both for academic and commercial research.
  3. Contribute to the creation of a connected national clinical trials infrastructure to improve patient access to trials and enhance processes for sponsorship and quality in Ireland.

We are focused on increasing access for patients and clinicians to trials to integrating research results into clinical practice, capitalising on the unique cohort of patients in Beaumont Hospital as the leading centre nationally in many therapeutic areas.

We have established a core team of experienced staff in RCSI CRC who are in position to facilitate impactful clinical research and lead national education initiatives. We look forward to working with academic and commercial partners to deliver patient-focused, world-class clinical research into the future.
