Health Professions Education
Health professions education research is vital to ensure the development of new and improved ways to educate health professionals in the provision of the best patient care. It brings together researches and practitioners from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds to advance health professions education theory and practice using diverse theoretical and methodological approaches.
Key themes for researchers within the health professions education team include interprofessional learning, simulation, technology-enhanced learning, curriculum design, patient involvement, and assessment. Methodological and theoretical research is also conducted.
Researchers in the School Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences at RCSI collaborate with other health professions education researchers, both nationally and internationally.
