Booking Library spaces
RCSI Library offers dynamic spaces to support your learning and research needs.
To book the Beaumont Hospital Library Study Room please visit the Beaumont Hospital Library in person, email us or phone us on +353 1 809 2531.
Group Study Rooms in the RCSI Library at 26 York Street are specifically provided for the use of study groups, minimum of two students and maximum numbers depend on the room booked. The time period is one hour, up to two hours may be booked in one day.

Bookings
Bookings may be made via our online booking system.
Log in with your RCSI username and password and follow the on-screen instructions. Do not use the browser back button.
You will receive an email confirming the booking time slot (this will be sent to the email address the RCSI Library has on record for you). This email is sent to the person who booked the room – please share this information with other members of your group.
Please print or save this email as proof of your booking.
Please cancel the booking if you no longer need the room via the online booking system. Log in and click on 'view/cancel your booking'. If you have two consecutive bookings in the same room, cancellation is not possible for either booking, once the time for the first hour has started.
Conditions of use:
- Bookings can be made a maximum of three days in advance.
- Group study rooms are prioritised for group work i.e. minimum of two people.
- A limit of 2x1 hour bookings per person per day is in place to ensure equitable access for all students.
- Confirmation of a room booking will be given only to the individual who booked the room, to comply with data protection legislation.
Groups should:
- Occupy the room within 20 minutes and for the entirety of the booking time or the booking is forfeited.
- Keep discussions at a reasonable conversational level.
RCSI Library manages bookings for the 32 seater, Computer Room on Level 1, 26 York Street. Please contact us to make a booking. There are times when bookings for this space are limited to curriculum-only bookings (teaching and examinations) to prioritise use of the space by students preparing for examinations.
The Expo Stage in the Library Learning Commons is a flexible pop-up space available to members of RCSI to showcase activities, promote events and meet students in a collaborative area. Register your interest in booking this space.
Student Societies and Clubs can book the space via the Student Services Moodle page and should note booking guidelines on this Moodle page.
The Library’s Amphitheatre, Room 205, Level 2, 26 York Street is a dedicated presentation practice space with built-in video recording facilities to be able to film presentations and take the recording home. This space can be booked on the Group Study Room booking online system.
To use the video recording facilities, users need to bring a USB/Memory Stick with them and will find instructions in the room to operate the system.
