RCSI Bahrain Student wins Student Entrepreneur Competition in Bahrain

Final year medical student, Mr Abdulla Jamal AlZeera, from RCSI Bahrain has won the National Competition of the Global Students' Entrepreneurship Award (GSEA).

Representing RCSI Bahrain, Mr AlZeera competed with six finalists from different universities to pitch his business (Globeauty), in front of a panel of judges. As the winner of the national competition, Mr AlZeera will be representing Bahrain in the Global GSEA competition held in the USA, while competing with other national winners from all around the world, in addition to being sponsored and featured by the National Geographic Channel and Disney Studios. All participants in the Global GSEA will compete for the chance to win the grand prize of $25,000.

President of RCSI Bahrain, Professor Sameer Otoom, commented, “My sincere congratulations to Mr Abdulla AlZeera, for his outstanding achievement of winning the National Student Entrepreneur Competition. We are very proud that our student is to represent Bahrain in the Global GSEA competition. All of us at RCSI Bahrain look forward to following Mr AlZeera’s future accomplishments and we wish him the best of luck in the global competition.”

The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) is a global competition for students who own and operate a business while attending college or university and is hosted locally by the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation Bahrain Chapter.
