Maciek Szydlowski
My time at RCSI was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The University boasts world-class teaching facilities and has history and prestige which are recognised the world over.
Through MSc in Healthcare Ethics and Law programme I gained solid foundations in ethical principles and legal framework, and confidence in critical thinking and ethical decision-making.
The programme was extremely well designed and delivered by a wide range of experts coming from academic, legal, and clinical backgrounds. The curriculum incorporated theory, real-life case studies, and new developments in the area of ethics, bioethics and healthcare law.
Small class size, diversity, and numerous group exercises allowed for frequent debating, critical thinking and exchanging of ideas and opinions between lecturers and students.
I was quickly able to apply my newly-gained knowledge and skills in my work advising university researchers on how to develop high-quality ethical protocols. I also believe that the programme can equip its graduates with competence and skills to contribute to better engagement with patients, better communication, and better healthcare.
